Farmer chic
topped off with some neckwarmers, bowler hats and lace-up birkenstocks with ankle socks (jen wrote about a similar pair of sandals for men which are sort of yucky but for girls I think these aren't half bad)... Overall it's a strange collection that evokes nice images of dirt and garden forks and green vegetables. I like Carin Wester.

Ooh, I like the loose layering and the way they made "mom jeans" seem wearable in that first picture. But doesn't it seem like you'd have to be drop dead gorgeous with a model build to pull this look off?
it's very French, which i very much so appreciate. very effortless, but on anyone who lacks that jolie laide face and long masses of flatteringly colored hair, it would be an enormous miss. there's something quite ironic about it that seems to be a requirement, like for wearing pearls with 50s housewife dresses. it takes a great deal of confidence to carry that off.
that being said, i'm going after #1, 7, and 9 inspired looks post-haste. i certainly need to learn how to tousle my locks though. (apparently, that messy-chic is super hard to get.)
stephanie- yeah, pairing baggy cropped pants with a shirt dress and ankle socks is probably a bit much for some people...(although i get the feeling you'd be able to pull it off, no problem.) but otherwise, if you lose the socks, i think most of this stuff is pretty wearable for the average girl, granted she's the type who doesn't worry to much about whether or not her ass looks fat.
we adore her!
I like the pants from Carine Wester a lot!
