Stripeless and happy

The nautical look is something I can’t help but play around with every summer, but what holds me back sometimes is the risk of it looking too trendy. I was thinking simple striped shirts and sweaters from traditional french naval apparel stores like orchival and saint james might be a good way to avoid looking generic until I saw this guy at thesartorialist and discovered that nautica can actually be achieved without the stripes or the navy blue. Is it not fantastic the way he carelessly ties his sweater around the hip of those ankle-skimming slim pants without looking flamboyant? And does he not slightly resemble Rachel Green’s dad? Just look at him--I might've thought he was standing on a dock, looking out to the sea...

Feeling fall

I'm loving Haider Ackermann's fall collection. The dark color palette (royal blue, grey, bronze, and beige) and the combination of different textures is really stunning.
