Lolz

Most of you are probably familiar with this already, but I've been meaning to post pictures of the "designer underwear" series by Slow and Steady Wins the Race for a while. The first time I saw the collection I literally laughed out loud. How awesome is SSWR for mimicking CdG by slapping a pair of knickers onto a pair of knickers? Genius! Clearly Mary Ping & Co are ridiculing label whores--which is all good fun--and I applaud them for making their clothes affordable unlike so many other design collectives who pull similar stunts then charge a fortune for it (which makes their work such a sad sad contradiction, you realize). One thing I find amusing however is that the sort of people who like SSWR are probably the sort of people who who wear CdG and Martin Margiela... So at the end of the day, who's making fun of who?
